Girona
This summer we traveled to Girona in order to explore new places in Spain for Masserias.
Girona is a wonderful medieval city not far away from Barcelona (1.30 hrs) which is currently hosting the making of Game Of Thrones, a successful TV series.
A romanesque-gothic cathedral dominates the charming city which composed of small boutiques and typical restaurants.
After doing a city tour we suggest you to visit Banyoles, a small lake not distant where you can enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by nature.
We also suggest you to visit Monells, a gorgeous town surrounded by wineyards and ancient farmhouses. The region around Monells is named “The Tuscany of Spain”; it is in fact the most curated and scenic area in Spain we visited so far!
If you visit Girona you should absolutely have dinner at Celler Can Roca, one of the world’s best restaurants.
